Catholic Ministry Artist, Katie Keogler, is leading worship on Wednesday, January 8th, at St. Patrick's Cathedral, for the monthly Young Adult Mass and Social.
"I am so excited to be playing at St. Patrick's. It will be a true honor to be able to lead worship for mass at one of the most prominent and beautiful churches in the world."
The evening starts at 6:30 PM with the Divine Mercy Chaplet and a concert played by Keogler.
Following the concert, mass will begin at 7:30 PM. Mass will be presided by Father Joe Espaillat, Director of Youth Ministry for the Archdiocese of New York.
Colin Nykaza, the Director of Young Adult Outreach for the Archdiocese of New York who organized the event, is excited for the gathering.
"We are excited to welcome all young adults to our Young Adult Mass this Wednesday. It is a great way to encounter Christ and meet good and like minded individuals," Nykaza said.
Keogler also sees the importance of these gatherings.
"It is vital for young adults to be able to gather together to worship God and receive the sacraments. God didn't make man to be in isolation, contrary to our culture's current lifestyle. Psalm 133:1 states, 'How good and pleasant is it when God's people live in unity,' Having a faith community is such a gift," Keogler said.
Following the mass, there will be a social at Connolly's Pub on 14 East 47th Street (47th Street between 5th and Madison Ave.).
This is a great evening where people will have the opportunity to pray and meet other Catholics from the New York City area. Katie Keogler's album, "Take My Heart," is set to be released soon. Check back here or go to katiekeogler.com for more details.
