On December 6, 2013, Catholic Ministry Team Artists Anthony Muhs and Katie Keogler opened for Ike Ndolo at St.Mary of the Isle in Long Beach, New York. The concert featured, Ike Ndolo, who recently released his second album Rivers, and has toured the Country leading worship, giving praise to God and entertaining audiences.
The opportunity to open for Ndolo came at the right time for artist Katie Keogler who is set to release her debut album in the coming months. Among the songs performed by Keogler and Muhs were a cover of Matt Redman's "10,000 Reasons," "Let it Snow," "What Child is This?" and "Oh Come Let Us Adore Him." The feature performance for Keogler and Muhs was a performance of "Take My Heart." Keogler introduced the song by touching on her own experience as a Youth Leader at St. Rose of Lima in Newtown Connecticut following last year's tragedy. "Take My Heart" was co-written by Keogler and Muhs, and is also the name of her upcoming album.
Ike Ndolo was impressed by what he heard from Muhs and Keogler. He said, "Anthony and Katie were amazing, I never heard them before. I met Anthony several times,first time meeting Katie. Both were great, Katie really has a stellar, unbelievable voice. Quite angelic, it was privilege to shared the stage with them."
Following the performance by the two Catholic Ministry Team Artists, Ike Ndolo and James Salas , took the stage. Ndolo played songs from his new album Rivers and some songs from his debut album titled We are the Beggers. The crowd was energized by the performance and were singing and dancing during his entire set.
Both Muhs and Keogler enjoyed the opportunity to open for Ike. "Ike is a gifted musician, performer and worship leader. Opening for him was a true honor for us," Muhs said. Keogler noted, "It was awesome opening for Ike! He is such a great musician and a powerhouse of talent. He puts on a great show and plays to the audience no matter the age. It was truly an honor to have shared the stage with him."
The event was a success. The concert was the latest production organized by the Fools for Christ Company. Fools for Christ is an organization that plans and promotes concerts in the New York metropolitan area. The next concert produced by the Fools for Christ Company is February 27, 2014, when David Crowder will be playing at The Space in Westbury, NY. Katie Keogler's album will be released in early 2014.
